Gisela Riba is a Spanish choreographer, performer and pedagogue based in Barcelona. She graduated in Humanities and in Choreography.
She has worked with Ballet Junior Genève, Ballet Biarritz, La Fura dels Baus, Beate Vollack and Idoia Zabaleta. Her choreographic works have been represented at festivals such as Dansa Metropolitana de Barcelona, Figueres es Mou, International Festival of Dance Ciudad de Alcobendas in Madrid, Quinzena de Dança de Almada in Lisbon, and in spaces such as L’Atlàntida of Vic, Nau Ivanow, Can Gassol, Hangar, Mies Van der Rohe Pavilion, among others.
She was a finalist in the Warsaw Zawirowania Dance International Choreographic Competition, the XII Certamen Coreográfico of Sabadell and the 37º Certamen Coreográfico of Madrid, where she received the DanceWEB grant for the ImpulsTanz Festival in Vienna (2024).
Winner of the Institut del Teatre Dance Award 2024 for her work Inferus, premiered in a full-length format at the Grec Festival 2025.
